UCU Canons have tied the series to force a game three in the best-of-three National Basketball League quarterfinal Playoffs.
UCU Canons secured a well-deserved 79-52 victory against Kampala Rockets in the NBL Playoffs encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Wednesday.
Marvin Jesse Okurut’s driving layup concluded the opening period as the UCU Canons opened up a 12-point lead (28-16).
Alier Pech Lier Jongoor’s perfect trip on the line concluded the second quarter as the Canons extended their lead to 20 points (45-25).
Coming from the locker rooms, the Canons kept the foot on the gas pedal as they extended their lead to 27 points (63-36).
Even though the Rockets tried to put up a fight, the Canons held on to secure a 27-point victory.
Joel Kayira led the Canons’ scoring chart with a game-high of 16 points while Puati Ozias Kikomba led the Rockets with a double-double scoring 10 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
