Ivan Minnaert emphasises teamwork as Vipers seek Champions League slot

Vipers SC head coach Ivan Minnaert is focused on the continental journey ahead, despite his team securing a 1-0 victory against Namibia’s African Stars in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
In the post-match press conference, the Belgian gaffer stressed that it was quite a challenge to blend the team.
”There is still more work to do. It has not been easy to get all the players together into a team,” Minnaert said.
”But we have a league game coming up and we have to prepare because it’s going to be a tough challenge,” he added.
Managing the Depth in the Squad
With a demanding schedule and a large squad, Minnaert confirmed that rotation will be essential, particularly as the team prepares to lose players ahead of the International break.
”We have a deep squad and we shall have to do some rotation. Ahead of the FIFA International, some players will be leaving, but we hope it ends soon so we get back to work,” he said.
Vipers will return to action on Saturday, October 4, as they take on Kitara at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
