Shakirah Nanvubya dropped a game-high of 26 points to inspire JT Lady Jaguars into the National Basketball League semifinal Playoffs.

JT Lady Jaguars secured a well-deserved 72-58 victory against Miracle Eaglets in the NBL Playoffs quarterfinal encounter at Lugogo Indoor Arena on Tuesday.

The Lady Jaguars swept Miracle Eaglets 2-0 to take a slot in the last four teams of the ongoing Playoffs.

Rhoda Nagitta’s perfect trip to the line concluded the first period as the JT Lady Jaguars opened a six-point (19-13) lead.

The JT Lady Jaguars extended the lead to 10 points (34-24) going into the halftime break.

Coming from the locker rooms, Miracle Eaglets trailed further by 16 points (40-56) at the end of the third quarter.

Despite Miracle Eaglets’ fight in the fourth period, the Lady Jaguars secured a 14-point victory.

Mercy Batamuliza staged a great performance for the Jaguars after dropping 14 points and pulling down 17 rebounds in a double-double.

On the other hand Winfred Akello (17 points and 10 rebounds) and Mariam Namukwaya (15 points) led the Miracle Eaglets’ scoring chart.
