Aloysious Matovu Joy Nursing Injuries After Surviving a Boda Boda Accident

Local actor, writer, and HIV activist Aloysious Matovu Joy is currently nursing wounds following a boda boda accident.

In a video circulating on social media, Aloysious Matovu is seen lying on a bed speaking to his caretakers and everyone watching him.

While speaking to Spark TV, Matovu narrated that he was on his way to bury his former student from Makerere University. Sharing a boda with his colleague as the rider, before a careless driver who was carrying a heavy load hit them from nowhere, and they fell, sustaining injuries. 

The terrible accident happened along Jinja Road in the industrial area, and Matovu expressed his gratitude to God for giving him a second chance at life. He says they didn’t make it to the burial but instead branched to the nearby health facility for first aid.

“I was in a terrible state, but God came through. I hit my kneecap and my hand. My rider is in stitches. People came and started blaming him and questioning why he would be careless with an important figure like me,” he said.

Aloysious Matovu Joy’s health state attracted significant sympathy, with fans and well-wishers flooding the comment section to send prayers and wishes for a speedy recovery.
