Entebbe UPPC edge Lugazi to register first win in UPL

Entebbe UPPC registered their first win of the new season, edging Ligazi FC in the game played on Wednesday at Bugonga Fisheries Ground.

The Printers who lost their opening game to Buhimba Saints last week, came into today’s encounter seeking for redemption.

Indeed, they fought hard to overcome Lugazi, winning 2-1 despite going a goal down in the early exchanges.

Freedom Mungudit fired Lugazi into the lead in the 24th minute and they led at the break.

However, the hosts returned rechaged after recess with Isa Mubiru find the equalizer in the 64th minute.

In the 83rd minute coach Abdallah Mubiru brought on Fazil ‘Chopla Tumwine in place of Ambrose Kigozi and he was a minute later able to find the winning goal.

The two teams will return to action after the international break with Entebbe UPPC visiting SC Villa on 15th October 2025 while Lugazo will visit KCCA FC the following day.
