Nam Blazers Express Readiness For Road To BAL in Tanzania

Namuwongo Blazers Basketball Club has expressed its readiness for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2026 Qualifiers – East Division Group D.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, from October 15 to October 19, 2025.
In a statement signed by Daniel Muttu Obol, Chief Executive Officer, the club expressed honor in representing Uganda in the prestigious competition and emphasized its commitment to preparing and competing at the highest level.
Participation in the Road to BAL offers a major platform for the club, its players, and Ugandan basketball to showcase talent, growth, and competitiveness on the continental stage.
The Blazers said it looks forward to collaborating with FIBA Africa, the Basketball Africa League, and other stakeholders to ensure successful participation.
The tournament places a significant financial burden on the club, and the statement reflects that Namuwongo Blazers has successfully secured the necessary funds to participate.
The club extended gratitude to its partners – Samanga Utilities, Britam Uganda, NRG Radio, Abja Parks, and the Norwegian Refugee Council – for their continued support.
Since its founding in 2014, the club has credited its achievements to the guidance of its Board of Directors and the unwavering support of its fans.
They are expected to face Dar City (Tanzania), Dynamo (Burundi) and Gambe (Ethiopia).
