URA FC have summed up their primary transfer bussiness for the 2025/25 season with some significant moves. A number of players have moved in, and others out of the club.
The Tax Collectors were so busy in the weeks-long transfer market, in which they signed seven new players and released nine, including eight permanently, and another one on loan.
The club made a strategic move, bolstering their squad with both experience and youthful promise, with each one of the new players signing a two-year deal.
Goalkeeper Chrispas Kusiima and electric winger Living Kabon both returned to URA from Kitara.
The URA defense was boosted with the addition of leftback Arthur Kiggundu and centreback Ronald Otti, both from Kitara, plus goalkeeper Muhammad Sekkeba from UPPC.
The club also signed proven goal-scorers, Nelson Senkatuka and Fred Amaku from Bright Stars and Kitara respectively, in a strategic move to strengthen the team’s offensive options.
Meanwhile, the club also parted ways with several players, including three goalkeepers; Denis Otim, Rogers Omedwa and James Alitho.
Enock Walusimbi, Shariph Kimbowa, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Bruno Bunyaga, and Emma Oketch all left the club permanently, while Bright Vuni was sent out on loan to UPPC.
URA’s new additions are expected to play a crucial role as the Tax Collectors kick off this season’s campaign against BUL on Friday, September 26, at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.
