This Golf Open was officially launched at a press conference on Friday, September 26th in Kigo, where sponsors, media partners, and stakeholders will gather to preview the event and recognize key contributors.
This annual flagship event brings together corporate leaders, professionals, and families for a day of sport, networking, and community celebration.
The day-long tournament will be held under the theme “Driving Partnerships Forward,”, with the different teams in action.
The event highlights collaboration between Ugandan and American businesses while promoting business visibility and shared values on and off the course.
This unique event also welcomes family participation, encouraging parents to play alongside their children, a unique opportunity to bond, mentor, and inspire the next generation.
We are proud to make this golf open, inclusive, welcoming business leaders, families, and young players. Seeing parents and children play together reflects the spirit of unity, legacy, and mentorship. The main aim is to promote young talent and business, promote sports tourism and the golf culture as the juniors will play alongside the seniors.
Eve Zalwango, General Manager of AmCham Uganda

For every hole, there will be a sponsor; creating an experience around every hole with special branding. This will also enhance community participation as we expect different teams with numbers of players swelling over 120 players.
Theodor Van Rooyen; Director Golf at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa

We are excited having AMCHAM for the second time in a row. The Serena experience will be show cased to perfection. We shall be bringing junior entities together in a fun-filled environment. There will be fun activities from the sponsors on every hole. Golfers and guests should expect good reception and hospitality.
