Miss Uganda Muhoza Trivia Elle Addresses Online Trolls and Threats Since Her Crowning

Miss Uganda Muhoza Trivia Elle has opened up about the trolls and insults she has been facing regarding her appearance since she was crowned a few days ago.

While many congratulated the 24-year-old beauty queen on her achievement, several online trolls continued to discuss her family background and tribe. They used her looks to assume that she was Rwandan and questioned how a non-citizen could be crowned Miss Uganda.

During a TV interview, Muhoza reacted to the online hate with responses that left viewers stunned. She revealed that she paid no mind to the negativity around her and was not wasting time reading the comments attacking her.

While she is still celebrating her crown, Muhoza revealed that she was busy concentrating on taking the next step as a beauty queen and not concerned about the background noise.

“Honestly, I have not been reading comments like that. My friends are the ones who keep showing them to me, and they have seen those claiming I’m not Ugandan and telling me to go back to my country. On my phone, I never see them because I do not want to keep reading them. I want to keep peace of mind and concentrate on what I have to do,” she said.

One comment, however, got her attention. The unidentified user allegedly threatened that they would harm her in a bid to drive her back to Rwanda.

“That was the biggest thing I think I have read, but everything else about my looks and all is useless. You do not know my personality, so you cannot come up to me. You do not know me or who I am, but if you are judging me based on how I look, that is your opinion. Even when you insult me, that is your opinion, and I cannot change it. Even when I stand up and ask you not to abuse me, you will still do it because that is how you feel,” Muhoza said.

Muhoza Trivia Elle took over from Natasha Nyonyozi, whose journey as Miss Uganda was marked by hard work and dedication.
