Geosteady opens up about high cost of rehabilitation

Singer Hassan Kigozi, popularly known as Geosteady, has shed light on his journey through rehabilitation and the financial toll it took.

In a candid interview with Sanyuka TV, the “Owooma” hitmaker revealed the daily and monthly costs he had to bear during his stay at the Life Back Rehabilitation Center in Katale.

Geosteady disclosed that the cost of his stay at the facility was Shs 80,000 per day, totaling Shs 2.4 million per month.

The amount covered includes feeding, accommodation, and other essential services provided by the staff at the center.

“I would spend 80k per day, which is 2.4m per month,” he shared. “Reach A Hand Uganda boss, Humphrey Nabimanya, was the one footing the expenses.”

He went on to express deep gratitude to Nabimanya for stepping in to support him during what he described as a critical phase of his life.

The singer also emphasized the tight security at the facility, stating that escaping was not an option for anyone under rehabilitation.

“I was at Life Back Rehab Center. It is in Katale. The 2.4m payment includes feeding, sleeping, and other staff. No one can escape from the facility because the security is tight,” he added.

Geosteady’s revelation not only highlights the challenges faced by individuals seeking rehabilitation but also underscores the importance of community support in recovery journeys.
