Mbarara City Gets Green Light to Host at Kakyeka

FUFA has granted temporary approval for Mbarara City FC to use Kakyeka Stadium as their home ground in the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League season.
The development comes after a pre-inspection visit on September 22nd and a review by the FUFA Club Licensing Committee on September 27th.
The decision takes effect on Friday, October 3rd, when Mbarara City will host their next league match at Kakyeka.
Earlier, Mbarara City had been directed to relocate their home fixtures to Rwamwanja Stadium in Kamwenge after Kakyeka failed to meet the required licensing standards during an initial assessment.
FUFA has now given the green light for the stadium’s use but stressed that the approval remains temporary and subject to close monitoring.
