”I went out there to enjoy myself. I had a game plan which I stuck to and I’m happy it paid off,” Rugumayo said after holing out.
Uganda’s top pro started off with a couple of birdies on the first three holes to set the tone for the round.
”I really loved my swing and my decision making out there. I’m looking forward to tomorrow,” Rugumayo added.
Meanwhile, Indiza who played a perfect back nine returned 2-under-67 and was tied for second place with compatriot Mohit Mediratta.
Greg Snow and amateur Anthony Otukei were tied for fourth place with 1-under-70.
