Isaac Okello and Rajab Fazil scored a goal each in the first half as Blacks Power kick-started their 2025/26 FUFA Big League campaign on a positive note.

Blacks Power emerged 2-0 winners over Onduparaka at the Ebenezer University playground in Lira City to continue their impressive form against the West Nile side.

‎Blacks Power captain, Okello led by example, scoring the first goal for his team. The former Onduparaka defender headed in from a corner to give the home side a deserved lead in just the seventh minute of the game.

In the 37th minute, Fazil scored from a long range shot to double the advantage for Blacks Power, sending them into the halftime break with a deserving 2-0 lead.

That scoreline is all Blacks Power needed to defend until the final whistle to pick up three points, two goals and a clean-sheet at home.

That should’ve been Michael ‘Skillz’ Lukyamuzi’s best way to start life at the Lira-based side, save for the red card that was shown to him towards the end of the match, same as his midfielder Opio Simon Misaki.

Blacks Power Too Good For Onduparaka?

Blacks Power have now won four out of five matches played against Onduparaka, while the Caterpillars have managed just one win.

Last season, Onduparaka won the first leg 3-0 in Arua, before Blacks Power won 2-0 in a revenge mission in Lira.

In the 2023/24 season, Blacks Power beat Onduparaka home and away, with a similar 1-0 margin.
