City Oilers swept JT Jaguars in game two to storm the semifinals of the ongoing National Basketball League playoffs.
City Oilers registered a well deserved 67-65 victory against JT Jaguars in the NBL Playoffs at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Thursday.
Ben Komakech concluded the first period with a 3-point as the Oilers trailed by four points (20-16) at the end of the quarter.
Titus Lual’s 3-point jump shot capped the second quarter at the Oilers trailed by six points (37-31) going into the halftime break.
Coming from the locker rooms, City Oilers started the third quarter with a 5-0 run before trailing by three points (52-49) at the end of the period.
Despite a strong fight from the Jaguars, City Oilers opened a two-point victory on the day.
Kurt Wegscheider (20 points), Mer Maker (14 points) and Fayed Baale led the Oilers in the double digits.
On the other hand, Ian Lubwama (14 points) and George Agasi (10 points) were the only Jaguars to reach the double digits.
