Nam Blazers Eye Semifinal as They Face Rezlife in Game Two

Thursday, September 11
*Rezlife Saints Vs Nam Blazers – 7pm
*City Oilers Vs JT Jaguars – 9pm
Namuwongo Blazers will look to seal a place in the semifinals of the National Basketball League Playoffs when they face Rezlife Saints in game two tonight at Lugogo.
The Blazers hold a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-three quarterfinal series after edging game one 54-41 at Jaguars Den in Kiira on Saturday. A win tonight would secure a 2-0 sweep and keep alive their dream of a maiden league crown.
In game one, the Blazers stamped their authority from the onset, taking a 14-07 lead in the first quarter and never looking back. However, scoring was a concern, with Innocent Ochera the only player to reach double digits with 13 points.
Usual go-to players struggled, with Jimmy Enabu failing to register a single point, Tonny Drilleba managing just 4, Ivan Muhwezi going scoreless, and James Okello finishing with 3.
For the Saints, the challenge is steep. They were already beaten twice by the Blazers in the regular season — 79-60 in the first round and 80-70 in the return leg — and on Saturday their bench could only muster 7 points, underlining a lack of depth.
The Saints must now deliver the performance of their season to keep the series alive, while the Blazers will be eager to wrap it up quickly and book their semifinal spot.
