JT Jaguars Eye Survival as Oilers Chase Sweep

*Rezlife Saints Vs Nam Blazers – 7pm
*City Oilers Vs JT Jaguars – 9pm
JT Jaguars will be fighting to keep their season alive tonight when they face City Oilers in Game Two of their best-of-three National Basketball League quarterfinals series at Lugogo.
The Jaguars trail the series 1-0 after a 62-77 defeat in the opener on Tuesday, a game where they let a halftime advantage slip away.
Leading 37-33 at the break, the Jaguars collapsed in the third quarter, scoring just seven points against the Oilers’ 21, and never recovered as they eventually lost by 15 points.
Turnovers proved costly, with the Jaguars giving away possession 27 times.
Outside Ian Lubwama and Peter Sifuma, who combined for 26 points, the team struggled to find consistent scoring options.
The Jaguars must also find a way to contain Oilers’ new signing Chad Bowie, who impressed with 16 points on his debut.
Despite the win, Oilers coach Mandy Juruni will be concerned by his side’s rebounding woes. The defending champions were outrebounded 49-55, and will need to tighten up in that department as they chase an unprecedented 11th league crown.
