FUBA Confirms NBL Finals Dates

The Federation of Uganda Basketball Associations has confirmed the dates for the National Basketball League Finals.

The highly anticipated series between defending champions City Oilers and Namuwongo Blazers will tip off on Tuesday, October 7th, with game one set for the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The finals will be played in a best-of-seven format, with the first team to secure four wins crowned champions.

A potential game seven has been scheduled for October 22nd.

However, the fixture may clash with the Blazers’ continental engagements, as they are expected in Dar es Salaam from October 15th to 19th for the Road to Basketball Africa League tournament.

They will face hosts Dar City of Tanzania, Burundi’s Dynamo, and Ethiopia’s Gamble in Group D of the East Division qualifiers – Awaiting official confirmation.

Meanwhile, the Women’s National Basketball League semifinals get underway on Wednesday, October 1st at YMCA in Wandegeya.

The Magic Stormers will take on JT Lady Jaguars, while JKL Lady Dolphins face UCU Lady Canons.
