Chad delays Ghana’s World Cup ticket

Chad held Ghana in a one-all draw in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers on Thursday evening.
While Ghana thought they had scooped maximum points, Chad scored a late equaliser to give the home crowd a reason to celebrate.
Jordan Ayew placed Ghana in the lead in the 17th minute of the game after being set up by Mohamed Kudus in an emphatic manner.
Ghana kept on the front foot throughout the first stanza but where not lethal enough to double their lead.
Celestin Ecua levelled matters for Chad in the 89th minute in a turnaround of events late in the game.
The win could have created a six-point lead on the log but they still hold onto a four-point gap after dropping two crucial points.
Ghana returns to action on Monday, September 8 as they take on Mali in the ongoing qualifiers.
