FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup: Morocco, Tanzania learn group opponents


African representatives at this year’s FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup, Morocco and Tanzania have learnt the teams they will be facing at the inaugural edition of the competition.
The draw for the first ever tournament was held on Monday at the BGC Arts Center in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Philippines where the tournament will be staged in November.
Morocco who are the reigning African Champions are pooled in Group A alongside the hosts Philippines, Poland and Argentina.
On the other hand, Tanzania are in Group C that has giants Portugal who are ranked 3rd in the world, Japan ranked 5th and New Zealand.
Group B has Spain, Thailand, Colombia and Canada while Group D comprises of Brazil, Iran, Italy and Panama.
The first FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup will take place from 21 November to 7 December in Pasig City, Metropolitan Manila.
