Rapper Mun G admits concert at Serena Hotel left him in debt

Despite pulling off a successful concert at Serena Hotel on August 30th, rapper Mun G has admitted that the event left him in debts rather than profits.
Speaking after the show, Mun G revealed that although the audience had a great time, the financial side of the concert did not go as planned.
I have big debts. I didn’t get any money. Those who are demanding, kindly bear with me. I didn’t break even but people had fun and that’s what matters most.
The rapper explained that hosting a concert at Serena Hotel requires a massive investment, which remains the most challenging part for artists.
For this reason, Mun G says he would never want his son to venture into music, given the financial struggles involved.
However, Mun G remains hopeful about the future, promising that his next show will be better managed and profitable.
Mun G also took a moment to applaud fellow rapper Fik Fameica, whose show happened over the weekend, describing 2025 as the year Hip Hop is finally taking center stage in Uganda’s music industry.
