Jowy Landa has opened up about a disturbing incident she faced during her early years in the music industry when a producer touched her inappropriately.

The singer, who started her career as a teenage cover artist, revealed that she experienced “bad touches” from a male producer who had promised to help her kickstart her career.

Jowy shared that the incident happened when she was just 18 years old. According to her, the unnamed producer approached her with an offer to produce a song for free, an opportunity that left the young and aspiring artist excited.

I have worked with a lot of producers, but the ones I met when I first got into the industry used to harass me. Because I was new, I was scared.

Way back, some popular producer approached me and promised that he would do a song for me for free. I was so excited and went to his studio. I was just 18 and couldn’t believe I was going to work with someone like him.

She explained that once she was at the studio, the producer began behaving inappropriately and crossed personal boundaries by touching her without her consent.

Jowy Landa chose not to disclose the identity of the producer but said that this kind of behavior is one of the challenges young women often face when pursuing their dreams in music.
