Jowy Landa Boosts Image With Security Team, DJ, and Dancers

Singer Jowy Landa, real name Joan Namugerwa, has embarked on a long journey to improve her brand following her recent visit to the UK.

Among the changes that Jowy Landa made was moving with bouncers, her own deejay, and dancers. During her interview with Galaxy FM, she was spotted standing next to two rough-looking gentlemen who are part of her new security team.

Jowy Landa revealed that she picked inspiration from artists in the UK during her recent visit. She then decided to change her life and her brand, something that she said would make it more valuable.

She explained that Ugandan artists generally didn’t care about their branding, making it easy for promoters to undervalue them.

“From what I saw when I went abroad, I wanted to change something about my life. There are things we are expected to do because we are in the entertainment industry. That is all branding yourself. As Ugandan artists, we struggle with branding; that is why promoters often give us little money. Now they have started adding me, and I will do even better things with my brand,” she said.

Jowy Landa recently signed with TCM Management, and in a bid to fulfill her dream, they purchased a tour van and had it branded with her face. This is to facilitate her movements in different parts of the country.

She is, however, still working closely with Jeff Kiiwa’s Team No Sleep, something she says she copied from London.
