From movie translator to videographer: VJ Moon yearns to work with Rema and Chosen Becky

Movie translator-turned-videographer Herbert Bukenya, publicly known as VJ Moon, has expressed the desire to work with renowned female stars Rema Namakula and Chosen Becky.

He believes that if he is presented with the opportunity, he could get his brand recognized and reach a greater extent.

When that happens, he is optimistic that he can also work for bigger and veteran artists such as Juliana Kanyomozi and Irene Namubiru.

“I desire working with Uganda’s top female music stars, particularly Chosen Becky ne Remah Namakula. Collaborating with them would not only be a milestone but also a stepping stone to work with Juliana and Irene Namubiru, ” VJ Moon expressed

Speaking up about his decision to transition from translating movies to videography, he noted that it was all about exploring his talent for video shooting and editing, not rendering it useless.

He mentioned that he has so far worked with artists such as King Saha and Mudra on their ‘Ku Nnya’ project, and he is thankful to the two because their project opened floodgates to new opportunities.

I chose to take the path of videography because I had the expertise of using the camera to shoot videos and edit.

I started working for King Saha on his project ‘Ku nnya’ featuring Mudra, which opened doors for me, and I thank him so much.

He also revealed that he drew inspiration from VJ Mark to start a career in movie translation, but when he had a meeting with Gen. Saleh, with the association of movie translators, he birthed another thought depending on the perspective he had gotten from the statesman.

“I so much loved VJ Mark, and he inspired me to join the movie translation industry, but when we held a meeting with Gen. Saleh, he was bitter with the VJs because people in the Ugandan movie industry believe that we have affected their market, ” VJ Moon revealed.
