 Kabanda poised to revive Economic development of Teachers, Students if Elected again Woman MP

The Aspiring Woman Member of Parliament for Masaka District Hon. Babirye Kabanda Nabukenya has promised to work with the newly elected president of Uganda come 2026 general elections to initiate the program of increasing the salary incentives for the teachers operating in the country and Students who are willing to study but lack funds by getting them scholarships.

Hon. Kabanda, who had traversed the Masaka District areas such as Buyaga parish where she met pupils, parents and the owners of primary and Secondary Schools in a poorly dilapidated state said, it is a good enterprise to ensure that students are studying in a good environment and when they are equipped with better requirements and resources, they can easily study and pass well their exams.

“I have committed myself to deliver books, and pens including getting a few pupils who are having no financial support from their parents and those without them and I’ve considered getting them bursaries at St Mary’s, Nursery and Primary School located at Kadugala, Masaka City,” said  Kabanda.

She has 14000 students at St Jude Secondary School and majority of the beneficiaries are students whom she has nurtured and gave out bursaries and over 400 students have gained from the initiative on a yearly basis and looking forward to empowering more.

“I am looking forward to going back to Parliament and I want to increase my sources of income to ensure that I pay school fees and tuition for all primary, secondary and University students to curb the vise of illiteracy among the society,” added Hon. Babirye.

Additionally, she is currently serving as the President of Greater Masaka privately owned Schools.

She is looking forward to inspiring people especially the youth to study and attain professional employment opportunities such as technical jobs in Tailoring, Mechanics and Electrical Engineers and Construction Engineers whose jobs are readily available and paying good salaries.

“Great things are not done by great people. They’re done by ordinary people who are focused,” observed Hon. Kabanda during her consultative dialogues with the people of Masaka District whom she delivered community tents and chairs to improve on local community service deliveries.
