The Ugandan delegation of officials and athletes at the on-going Paris 2024 Olympics in France are on different wave-lengths to make ends meet.
Whilst the athletes are competing at the different competition venues, the officials are also scoring off the field.
A few days after Uganda’s Ambassador in France H.E Dorren Amule hosted the Ugandan delegation to a luncheon, the officials have engaged in other networking engagements.
The latest meeting is that of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) president Ms. Petra Sorling with the Ugandan pool of officials.
The Ugandan officials were led by the Hon. Peter Ogwang, Minister of State for Sports.
He was accompanied by the Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) president Dr. Donald Rukare, International Olympic Committee (IOC) member William Blick, National Council of Sports (NCS) Chairman Ambrose Tashobya, UOC Vice president and the Paris 2024 Chef de Mission, Moses Mwase alongside the ITTF Board Member Tom Kiggundu.
Also in attendance were ITTF Executive Board Member Dr. Alaa Meahref and the ITTF senior management team.
Varying pertinent issues were discussed at length with the support for Table Tennis growth in Uganda ranking aloft the agenda items.
