Youth featuring in the 2024 on-going Caring Heart schools’ premier league got an opportunity to listen to the wise counsel from the 1978 AFCON Uganda Cranes legendary goalkeeper Paul “Gogolimbo” Ssali.
Ssali was among the retired footballers and guests who watched match day four of this interesting league at Kagula Hill in Kakiri, Wakiso district.
On the day, there was the Manchester derby where City humiliated United 5-0.
Anthony Komagum scored a hat-trick before Endri Mwezi and Divine Tukei added a goal apiece.
Ssali tipped youngsters upon life skills, remaining positive, commitment and diligence.
“I encourage the youth to always be serious in whatever they do. I may be music, dance, sports or anything. Always remain focused, believe in yourself and work hard” Ssali stated.
This contest was also watched by legendary Ugandan sports cheer leader Uncle Money Ssewanyana.
The league is organized by Pastor Paul Musisi of Caring Heart Victory church in Kagula, Kakiri – Wakiso district.
This Caring Heart Premier League is an exemplary tournament that is working on many aspects expected to benefit students in the future.
As it stands on the six-team log, Manchester City leads the standings with three points and betters Liverpool and Chelsea that has played a game less by a goal difference.
Aston Villa, Arsenal and Manchester United all remain pointless.
This Wednesday, 10th July 2024, Chelsea faces Aston Villa.
