Manchester United fans in Uganda have a chance to watch Onana again next month

Manchester United fans in Uganda could catch their goalkeeper Andre Onana in action again next month if Kenya as expected host Cameroon at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

Kenya are in the same group J, with the Indomitable Lions and host thee five-time African champions on October 15.

Without a Caf approved stadia to host games of the magnitude of Afcon qualifiers, the Harambee Stars used Namboole for their home clash against Zimbabwe last week.

And their win over Namibia coupled with a stalemate between Cameroon and Zimbabwe, Kenya tops the group with four points which gives the next game as much importance.

Over 15,000 fans clad in Manchester United jerseys were at Namboole and cheered Onana right from arrival, during the warm ups, his every touch and even at departure.

In paying respect for the love, the goalie gave out his match day gloves and boots to lucky fans in the stands who kept singing his name throughout.

Expect similar or even more scenes if Cameroon which also had stars like Napoli’s Andre Frank Zambo-Anguissa, Brighton’s Carlos Baleba, Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo and veteran Vincent Abubaker returns.
