Kenya and Tanzania picked vital points on the road to end the international break with four points each in their respective groups.

The Harambee Stars beat hosts Namibia 2-1 with John Avire and Duke Abuya getting the goals while Dean Hotto netted Namibia’s consolation.

With Cameroon drawing goalless with Zimbabwe at Mandela National stadium, Namboole in group J, Kenya lead but on same points (four) with the Indomitable Lions while Zimbabwe and Namibia follow in 3rd with 2 points and none respectively.

In Conakry, Taifa Stars came from behind to beat Guinea 2-1 with Feisal Salum and Mudathir Yahya getting the goals as Tanzania moved to four points, two behind DR Congo in group H.

In group D, Rwanda held giants Nigeria to a goalless draw while Benin rallied to beat Libya 2-1.

Elsewhere, Mozambique beat Guinea Bissau 2-1 in group I and Mali away from home edged Eswatini 1-0.

Zambia also won a five-goal thriller beating Sierra Leone 3-2 in Lusaka in group G with Ivory Coast also earning a deserved 2-0 away win against Chad.

Egypt, Algeria, Burkina Faso and Cape Verde also garnered victories.

The road to Morocco returns in the next international window in October with match days two and three.
