Uganda’s representatives in this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League- CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers m, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have learnt the teams they will be facing.
In the draws conducted on Wednesday at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the reigning FUFA Women Super League Champions were pitted in Group B.
The group has Tanzania’s Giants Simba Queens FC, PVP Buyenzi from Burundi and minnows FAD FC from Djibouti.
Kawempe Muslim will begin their journey against PVP Buyenzi on 18th August, before taking on Simba Queens FC on 21st August and FAD FC three days later.
Group A has hosts CBE FC from Ethiopia, Yei Joint Stars FC (South Sudan), Kenya Police Bullets FC, Warriors Queens FC from Zanzibar and Rwanda’s Rayon Sport WFC.
The CECAFA Zonal Qualfiers will take place in Ethiopia between 18th August – 4th September in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Only Champions per region qualify for the final tournament that will take place later thus year.
