In April, Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya’s husband, Eng. Acram Gumisiriza, declared his political ambitions when he publicly revealed how he intends to run for the presidential office come the 2026 general elections.
Ever since he made the bold statements, he says he has never been at peace.
Gumisiriza claims he has been receiving threats from different people to the extent that he decided to switch base thus relocating to the Western world.
Akram Gumisiriza says he left the country for his safety and well-being plus protecting his family.
He is not certain how long it will take him to return but it will depend on how comfortable and secure he will feel in the years to come.
Gumisiriza adds that his wife backs the decision he took to consider life as the priority.
