African football ambassadors aim for impressive start at 2024 Olympic Games

The men football action at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris city, France officially kicks off on Wednesday, 24th July.

There are eight matches lined up on the day with four African countries; Morocco, Egypt, Guinea and Mali all in action.

North Africans Morocco take on South American opposition Argentina in one of the two early kick off at 4:00 PM.

This will be followed by another North African country Egypt against Dominican Republic at 6:00 PM.

At the same time, West Africans Guinea will square up against New Zealand.

West Africans Mali will tussle against Israel at 10 PM.

Other matches:

Uzebekistan shall entertain Spain at 4 Pm, Iraq against Ukraine and Japan against South Americans Paraguay at 8 Pm.

The other 10 PM duel has France against the United States of America (USA) at 10 PM.

The football venues will include; Bordeaux Stadium, Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium, La Beaujoire Stadium, Lyon Stadium, Marseille Stadium, Nice Stadium and Parc de Princes (finals).

Football and Rugby 7’s kick off on 24th Wednesday 2024 with handball and archery following suit on the next day.

At this year’s Olympic Games, Uganda is represented in Swimming, Rowing, Cycling and Athletics.

The official opening ceremony is on Friday, 26th July 2024.

A total of 10,500 athletes representing 206 countries are competing in this year’s Olympics.

  • Uzbekistan Vs Spain

6:00 PM:

  • Guinea Vs New Zealand
  • Egypt Vs Dominican Republic

8:00 PM:

10:00 PM:

  • France Vs United States of America (USA)
  • Mali Vs Israel
