Former Urban and NTV presenter Miles Rwamiti Apuuli has hinted at running for Nakawa West member of parliament seat come 2026 general elections.

Miles Rwamiti made his ambitions clear as he spoke to the media expressing his interest in running against National Unity Platform (NUP) incumbent and Leader of Opposition, Hon. Joel Sseyonyi Bisekezi.

In the 2021 general election, Rwamiti contested for the Hoima East MP seat on the Federation For Democratic Change (FDC) party card but lost garnering a paltry 149 votes and thus became a laughing stock among his peers including Jenkins Mukasa and Eddie Ssendi.

He reasoned that since he lost the election from his hometown, he has decided to shift his goalposts by choosing to contest from where he resides and perform his daily duties and tasks believing that the Nakawa people are more familiar with him than those at his hometown.

He has since implored voters not to mind about which political party card he will run on but to vote for an individual they believe will serve them with due diligence and deliver to their expectations.

Rwamiti likened his past failure to a football game where one team loses and the other bags all the maximum points adding that taking the decision has been long overdue.
