Grenade Official denies political affiliation at music album launch

Grenade Official has clarified his stand on politics, stressing that he is not aligned with any political party but will always support initiatives that uplift musicians and the creative industry.

Speaking during the launch of President Yoweri Museveni’s music album, which was compiled by creatives under the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), Grenade explained that his presence was purely about celebrating the progress of the music industry.

He noted that the ability of artists to impress the President with their achievements since the Federation was established marked a significant milestone.

However, he insisted that attending the event did not mean he personally subscribes to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) or any political group.

It is possible to separate music from politics, but people like us don’t care because we do good music. I’m not a politician… I don’t belong to NRM or any political party, but if something is good for my industry, of course I’ll go with that.

He further noted that artists coming together under UNMF is not a political move but rather an effort to strengthen unity and growth in the music sector.
