Vipers SC will host Kenya Police FC on the highly anticipated Vipers Day celebrations on Saturday July 27, Kawowo Sports can reveal.

Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa while at the launch of the day to be marked annually told media that an opponent with the weight of a continental aspirations will be invited to test the Venoms.

Police won the Kenyan FA Cup edging KCB in the final and will represent Kenya in the Caf Confederation Cup next year where they are drawn against Ethiopian Coffee in the first preliminary round.

The Kenyan side has an experienced squad that has among others Harambee Stars attacking midfielder Kenneth Muguna, long serving left back Aboud Omar, ex-Gor Mahia defender Musa Muhammad and goalkeeper Patrick Matasi.

Former Vipers and KCCA striker Tito Okello featured for the team last season but will miss out after his pending transfer to India according to impeccable sources.

TheKenya Cops finished third in the 2023/24 Kenya Premier League season after amassing 57 points in 34 matches. They finished behind runners-up Tusker FC and eventual champions Gor Mahia FC.
