Eddy Kenzo has advised people to seek music that suits their tastes, in response to recent calls for censorship of musicians and banning of songs with vulgar and explicit lyrics.

Some artists have resorted to creating such music to gain quick fame, a trend that has sparked controversy.

Kenzo likened music to restaurants, where different establishments serve different types of food.

Music is like the restaurant business. There are different restaurants that sell different food. If you can’t find what you want to eat, you move on to the next till you get what you want to consume.

According to him, explicit songs have always existed but tend to fade away while good music stays.

He reflects on his career, noting that even when he produced such music like Sumbuusa and Super Power, he tried to cover up, which is why he faced fewer complaints.
