Ssentamu Churchill James Shares How a Heartbreak Fueled His Success

Makerere University Guild President Ssentamu Churchill James has opened up about his ex, who dumped him before his fame.

In Galaxy TV’s segment of Star Connect, Ssentamu Churchill narrated to the viewers that his relationship came to an early end because his ten partner thought he was broke. She claimed that he lacked ambition and instead of making money to take care of them, he focused on playing football.

Even with the sting of those words, Churchill didn’t take it in bad faith and wished her well in her relationships. This, however, came as a motivation and a turning point as it encouraged him to work harder and prove himself.

“She broke up with me. But I wasn’t poor, I was working. I didn’t have as much money to take care of her. She thought I didn’t have ambitions or a future ahead of me. She told me she couldn’t handle being with a guy who was playing football all the time. I hope she is doing well anyway,” he said.

Earlier this year, Ssentamu Churchill James, is Chairman Nyanzi Ssentamu’s son and 91st Guild President of the prestigious institution, Makerere University.
