Sheilah Gashumba, DJ Dash named Don Julio brand ambassadors

Luxury tequila brand Don Julio has expanded its footprint in Uganda by unveiling two celebrated cultural figures, media personality Sheilah Gashumba and top entertainer DJ Dash, as official brand ambassadors.

At an exclusive event held Thursday evening inside Mezo Noir Bar & Lounge in Kololo, the duo was introduced to guests during a tequila mentorship and tasting session that spotlighted Don Julio’s heritage, craftsmanship, and flavour journey.

Under the new partnership, Gashumba will front Don Julio 1942, the premium expression synonymous with elegance, while DJ Dash takes charge of the Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo range, celebrated for their vibrance and versatility.

Speaking at the unveiling, Judie Nandekya, Don Julio Uganda’s brand manager, said the two personalities embody the brand’s identity.

“Sheilah reflects the sophistication of Don Julio 1942, while Dash represents the energy of our core range. Together, they will redefine premium lifestyle culture in Uganda.”

Gashumba expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration.

“This is my first official engagement with Uganda Breweries Ltd, and I couldn’t have chosen a better brand. Don Julio is an authentic fit for who I am, and I’m excited about the unforgettable experiences ahead,” she said.

DJ Dash echoed the same excitement, promising to bring the brand to life through music and culture.

“This partnership is about creating vibes and premium experiences that people will always remember.”
