Navio’s visit to the palace: Using HipHop as a tool to promote Buganda culture to youths

Recently, Navio was seen with Cindy & Omega 256 speaking to the Katikkiro of Buganda, ahead of Cindy’s show.
The Katikkiro was excited to see the artists and expressed how pleased he was with the artists using their music to promote their culture. He was also pleased with the fact that Navio could sing the Buganda anthem.
Navio has been using Hip-hop as a tool to introduce Buganda culture to the younger audience who are lovers of Hip-hop music.
Songs like Njogereza and Tumunonye are examples of this. He has also been known for sampling Ugandan classic songs and using those songs to introduce the younger audience to our classic music.
Songs like Nnawuliranga, all the way to Hamadi, are classic Ugandan songs that now get a new life through the music Navio has been releasing.
On October 4th, Navio will be staging the 1st ever Hip-hop Orchestra concert at the Serena Hotel.
This is a way of now taking Ugandan Hip-hop music, Ugandan classic songs, and Ugandan culture and putting it in a global space it has never been before.
Which Navio songs would you like to hear with the orchestra?
