Uganda Premier League entity Mbarara City Football Club has signed an exciting winger in Bashir Mansour.

The 16-year-old Amus College School student put paper to paper on the employment contract at the Ankole Lions.

Mansour signed a three-year-deal with an option to extend upon satisfactory performance.

The fast-paced winger can be deployed on either flanks; left and right with the ability to beat opponents given his blistering speed and armory of ball-playing skills.

“I am happy to join Mbarara City Football Club. I am ready for the new challenge ahead of me” Mansour who has been playing for Amus College Football Club in the Eastern regional league revealed.

Under head coach Charles Livingstone Mbabazi, Mbarara City is rebuilding with a fresh set of players on the menu.

Other intended new players on their radar include former Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) defender Hassan Jurua Alidro, goalkeeper Michael Lutaaya (formerly at Busoga United) and former Blacks Power forward Michael Siwu.

Last season, Mbarara City Football Club was coached by Wasswa Bbosa, finishing 10th with 32 points.

The Ankole Lions were 25 points adrift from the champions Sports Club Villa.
