Wakiso Giants FC captain Hassan Ssenyonjo has extended his stay at the club for more two years after putting pen to paper on a new contract.

The Purple Sharks confirmed that Ssenyonjo renewed his contract, following the expiration of the previous one last month.

The creative midfielder has been linked to several clubs and recently had a trial stint with Tanzanian outfit Yanga SC but the deal did not materialize.

Ssenyonjo joined Wakiso Giants in 2019 and has been a key player at the club since his arrival.

He was named the club captain in 2022 replacing Fahad Kawooya.
