USSSA Ball Games 2 (Rugby 7’s):

Champions:

  • Boys: Jinja Secondary School
  • Girls: Nkoma Secondary School

Most Valuable Players (MVP’s):

  • Boys: Ronald Ogwang (Jinja Secondary School)
  • Girls: Moureen Girimia (Nkoma Secondary School)

Jinja Secondary School and Nkoma Secondary School won the Rugby 7’s gold for boys and girls respectively at the 2024 USSSA Ball Games 2 in Soroti city.

Jinja Secondary School convincingly overcame Kiira College Butiiki 17-00 during a one-sided finale at Teso College Aloet on Wednesday.

Godwin Ejuu scored two tries and Emmanuel Odoyi added the other with Odoyi converting his own try under rainy conditions.

The girls’ finale was between Nkoma Secondary School and Jinja SS with the former winning 7-0.

Moreen Giramia scored the only try in the game that was converted by Janat Nabuduwa.

Most Valuable Players (MVP’s):

Ronald Ogwang (Jinja Secondary School) was the boy’s most valuable player. Moureen Girimia (Nkoma Secondary School) was the female MVP.

Besides Rugby 7’s, the USSSA Ball Games 2 also had Volleyball, Athletics, Basketball (3X3), Handball and Netball.

These games are a qualifier for the 2024 FEASSSA Games that will be co-hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School.
