Karamoja’s Nachap is New Miss Tourism as Teso’s Amuriat is crowned inaugural Man of Tourism for 2025/2026.

Nachap Kezia Cindy from Karamoja has been crowned new Miss Tourism Uganda, with Amusolo Pauline Leizel as first runner-up title, while Akere Gabriella M was crowned second runner-up. 

New to the Tourism industry is King Isaac Amuriat who was crowned the very first Man of Tourism International 2025/26

The crown night held on Friday 5th September 2025 at Serena Hotel in Kampala was the grand finale of a long journey of voting the new pangents.

The Director, Miss Tourism Uganda, Mr. Paul Michael Mutagamba, said the day coincided with the birthday of his late mother Late Maria Mutagamba who was the brain behind Miss Tourism project befire she died.

“It’s her birthday today, it’s a special day for the miss tourism event as the founder and inspiration behind” he said.

He appreciated the beauty pageants, for making the night a success “it has happened because of you”

The grand finale 

During the finale Nachap was also named Mega growth Company ambassador winning a weekend at Serena hotel. 

She dedicated the victory to the people of Karamoja who she said supported her and the culture that the region present .

“This crown is for Karamoja. Many people only know our region for conflict and hardship, but we are also a land of beauty, culture, and resilience. I want to use this platform to tell our story differently and attract visitors who will experience Karamoja’s uniqueness,” she said.

The KCCA Deputy ED Kigenyi said that since Kampala a nexus of all tourism activities in Uganda will all sachets ending there, he congratulated the winners while inviting everyone to the Kampala City festival on 5th October 2025.

“KCCA brings back Kampala city festival all of you join us as we make Kampala city and sweet memories on 5th October 25” he said.

Mr. Kunah the country, Manager Mega Growth company one of the main sponsors said that their Hair products have been in existence for the last 100 year company, including, air refresher indoor, and in cars, adding that they launched mega growth hair relaxer products for ladies for itching, dandrough, treatment, lotions, oils among others.

 All the queens received certificates but one of them Karungi Bridget was named UWA ambassador, a gift given to her by Mr.Stephen Masaba from UWA.

 While congratulating her Masaba commended all the supporters through their journeys to reach the awards with their talent.

He said “She is grounded and will hopefully represent UWA locally and Internationally with a contract to create awareness for the tourism and promote wild life protection championship. To welcome tourists, name a rhino to the guest at the name a rhino event in November 2025. All the award winners will be led by the ambassador to visit”.

Founded in 2013, Miss Tourism Uganda promotes culture, heritage, and tourism across 12 regional clusters. This year’s edition ran under the theme “I am My Culture”

Other queens included: Miss Tourism popularity Ahebwomugisha Anna, Miss Tourism Conservation, Sports Amali Phiona Rhoda, Talent Aanyu Catrionah, Continioulity Namugerwa Shiva Jane, Multi media Akere Gabriella, Photogenic Karungi Bridget., Rising woman Namugerwa Shiva Jane, Creative Karungi Bridget, Environment Angwec Rita among others.

Man of Tourism International regional winners included: Northern- Acere Mathias, Central Katumba Huz, Western Brave Jacob, Western otule John.
