Football fans across Uganda are gearing up for the much-anticipated return of top-tier football, as the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (UPL) kicks off its 2024 / 2025 season.

The new season promises to deliver exceptional football action, with 15 elite teams competing for the prestigious league title.

The season opener will feature a clash between two of Uganda’s football powerhouses, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).

The match will take place at the MTN Omondi Stadium, KCCA’s home ground, and kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM.

Football enthusiasts can catch all the live action on Sanyuka Prime on all StarTimes platforms including StarTimes ON, a mobile App that streams live TV.

The StarTimes UPL has continued to grow in stature, attracting both local and international attention.

This season’s competition will feature a blend of established clubs and regional clubs like Mbale Heroes, Lugazi, on top of Bunyoro Kingdom giants, Kitara.

First class stadia as Nakivubo, Namboole and Kitara’s new home ground, setting the stage for thrilling matches and intense rivalries.

As the 2024 / 2025 season unfolds, fans can expect a display of exceptional footballing skill, tactical brilliance, and passionate support from all corners of the country.
