With the StarTimes Uganda Premier League kicking off on Friday, clubs have continued to beef up with arguably their latest signings.

The Uganda transfer window ends on September 21st but as norm has been, rarely do UPL clubs conduct business after the start of the season which gets underway a week earlier.

In this regard, seven-time champions Express FC have signed left Mustafa Kizza.

The highly rated Kizza joins the Red Eagles as a free agent after leaving KCCA and it will be the first time he plays for a domestic premier league club besides the Lugogo based side in his career.

URA has had the most business in the last few days with acquisition of midfielder Abraham Tusubira, goalkeeper Derrick Ochan and defender Bright Vvuni from Maroons, KCCA and UPDF respectively.

The trio signed as free agents after expiry of their contracts at their respective clubs.

There has also been end of window business for Wakiso Giants with the signing of David Bagoole and experienced custodian James Alitho.

The duo has been training with the club for the past few weeks and sign alongside Marvin Oshaba.

Bagoole has previously played for Villa, Busoga United and Vipers, Alitho featured for URA and Vipers while Oshaba joins from Express FC.

The club also nearly got William Luwagga Kizito but he got injured (broken arm) in a scuffle with thugs according to reports.

However, he remains part of the Purple Sharks’ plans for the January window as he recovers and will most likely take over shirt 10 which will be vacant for the moment.
