USSSA Ball Games 2024 Handball:
Finals (Wednesday, 17th July 2024):
- Girls: Kawanda Secondary School Vs Mbogo High School
- Boys: Ntare School Vs Wampeewo Ntake
The finals in Handball (boys and girls) at the 2024 USSSA Ball Games 2 will be held on Wednesday, 17th July in Soroti city.
Kawanda Secondary School tussles against Mbogo High School in the girls’ finale whilst Wampeewo Ntake will take on Ntare School in the boys’ final.
The semi-finals were played on Tuesday mid-morning at the Teso College Aloet handball courts.
Kawanda Secondary School edged Kibuli Secondary School 13-12 in nail-biting fashion.
Evelyn Namanya, Mouren Drichiru and Jasmine Reginah were inspirational for Kawanda SS.
In the other second semi-final, Mbogo High School overcame Gombe Secondary School 18-12.
Mbogo High School was spurred by Esther Adyero, Noelinah Amongin and Slyvia Mungurimana.
The boys’ semi-finals were also epic, drawing tension moments on the off the playing courts.
Ntare School from Mbarara defeated Mbogo Mixed 18-12 thanks to Elia Aheebwa, Morris Rodney Mwesigye, Wesley Elisha and Joshua Muhumuza.
Meanwhile, Wampeewo Ntake smiled past Bombo Army 19-12. Wampeewo Ntake will need to appreciate the efforts of Prosper Tawoda, Daniel Olem, Solomon Rupiny, Prosper Wagaba and Sande Mukiibi.
The rest of the teams in the competition are playing their respective classification games.
All the four semi-finalists per gender qualified for the 2024 FEASSSA Games that will be co-hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College.
Besides handball, the 2024 USSSA Ball Games 2 (FEASSSA games qualifiers) also had volleyball, netball, basketball (3X3), netball and athletics.
The official climax will be on Wednesday, 17th July 2024 at the Soroti main stadium.
