Uganda Premier League new entrants Lugazi FC have confirmed Oliver Mbekaka as the new assistant coach.
Mbekeka will serve as assisant coach to the newly appointed head coach Sadiq Sempigi.
The club confirmed the acquisition of the former Crested Cranes player on Monday on a one-year deal.
“Lugazi FC is pleased to announce the appointment of Oliver Mbekeka as the assistant coach, who will work alongside head coach, Sadiq Sempigi.” Reads the statement.
Mbekeka has previously managed Lady Doves FC in the FUFA Women Super League.
She was also at one time the head coach of the Uganda U20 Women’s National Team.
The club continues to bolster the squad with several new additions. Some of these include; Dennis Lubowa, Yusuf Saaka, Nelson Mandela, Emmanuel Obua and Rogers Adriko among others.
