Beyoncé helps out Kamala Harris. Don’t fret—Trump still has Kid Rock

On Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris’s triumphant arrival at her campaign headquarters included walking out to Beyoncé’s song “Freedom.” The Harris campaign told CNN that Harris received permission from the artist to use the music. And while Beyoncé hasn't officially endorsed Harris, the megastar did support the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020.  Meanwhile, Donald Trump has faced so many artists sending him cease-and-desist letters—and openly proclaiming their dislike of him—that one must stretch out the hands after writing a list. Bruce Springsteen objected to Trump’s use of “Born in the U.S.A.” during his 2016 campaign and also called him a “moron.”  Tom Petty’s estate slammed Trump’s use of the late singer’s “I Won’t Back Down” at rallies in 2020, saying Petty “would never want a song of his used for a campaign of hate.”  The Rolling Stones, whose history of disliking Trump goes all the way back to the 1980s, told the Trump campaign to stop using “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” But the list goes on: Adele, Aerosmith, The Beatles, John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eddy Grant, Elton John, Everlast, Guns N’ Roses, the Isaac Hayes estate, Johnny Marr of The Smiths, Leonard Cohen, Linkin Park, the family of Pavarotti, Neil Young, Nickelback, Nico Vega, Ozzy Osbourne, Panic! at the Disco, Pharrell Williams, the Prince estate, R.E.M., Rhianna, the Sinéad O'Connor estate, the Village People, and The White Stripes have all told the MAGA world they have zero interest in supporting Trump. National treasure Dolly Parton turned down Trump's attempts to give her the Presidential Medal of Freedom—twice! But never fear, conservatives! Ted Nugent, Kid Rock … and that painful “Ice Ice Baby” rip-off they premiered at the Republican National Convention last week is still something you can bump in your cars! Also, if you act now, as a bonus, Lee Greenwood will sell you a $60 Bible, on top of playing that song over and over again. And while Beyoncé hasn't officially endorsed Harris, the megastar did support the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has faced so many artists sending him cease-and-desist letters—and openly proclaiming their dislike of him—that one must stretch out the hands after writing a list.

Bruce Springsteen objected to Trump’s use of “Born in the U.S.A.” during his 2016 campaign and also called him a “moron.”

Tom Petty’s estate slammed Trump’s use of the late singer’s “I Won’t Back Down” at rallies in 2020, saying Petty “would never want a song of his used for a campaign of hate.”

The Rolling Stones, whose history of disliking Trump goes all the way back to the 1980s, told the Trump campaign to stop using “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.”

But the list goes on:

Adele, Aerosmith, The Beatles, John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Eddy Grant, Elton John, Everlast, Guns N’ Roses, the Isaac Hayes estate, Johnny Marr of The Smiths, Leonard Cohen, Linkin Park, the family of Pavarotti, Neil Young, Nickelback, Nico Vega, Ozzy Osbourne, Panic! at the Disco, Pharrell Williams, the Prince estate, R.E.M., Rhianna, the Sinéad O'Connor estate, the Village People, and The White Stripes have all told the MAGA world they have zero interest in supporting Trump.
