2025 Entebbe Zone USSSA football championship:

Semi-finals (Friday, 28^th March):

• Entebbe Parents SS Vs Air Force SS – 9 am

• Boston High School, Mpala Vs Kisubi Mapeera – 11 am

Venue: St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) playground

Quarter-final Results:

• Entebbe Parents 0 (7) – 0 (6) Merryland High School Kiggungu

• Lake View SS Kitinda 1-2 Air Force SS

• Kisubi Mapeera 1-0 Entebbe SS

• Boston High School, Mpala 2-0 Entebbe Bright SS

The quarter finals for the 2025 Entebbe zone football championship were all played on Thursday, 27^th March at University of Kisubi (UNIK) and St Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) playgrounds.

Record champions Boston High School – Mpala, Entebbe Parents, Air Force Secondary School and Kisubi Mapeera SS all made the grade to the last four stage.

Entebbe Parents SS needed a tense 7-6 post match penalty victory over Merryland High School, Kiggungu to book their berth in the semi-final.

Normal time at the SMACK main playground had failed to produce any goal.

At the same venue, Air Force Secondary School ejected Lake View SS Kitinda 2-1.

In the other two semi-finals played at the University of Kisubi (UNIK) playground, a 10-man Kisubi Mapeera out-witted Entebbe Secondary School 1-0.

Shawn Kimenyi tapped home Kisubi Mapeera’s lone strike past goalkeeper Fred Byaruhanga after Kevin Kirimu’s donkey work on the right flank.

Kisubi Mapeera ended the game with a man less after a straight red card to Nicholas Garambe for dangerous play.

Garambe will thus miss out on the semi-final match.

“It was nervy ending to the game. I give credit to my players who gave their all to win this match. Focus turns to the semi-finals as we eye trophy” Livingstone Sajja, head coach of Kisubi Mapeera SS remarked.

In the last quarter final duel, record winners of the Entebbe zone trophy, Boston High School Mpala convincingly beat Entebbe Bright SS 2-0 at the UNIK playground.

Jonathan Kabuye, the captain for Boston High School Mpala scored a brace, a goal in either half.

“We are hungry for success. We shall take a game at a time” Hussein Mulawa, head coach Boston High School – Mpala remarked.

Semi-final match ups:

The two semi-finals will be played at the St Mary’s College Kisubi main playground.

First in the fray will be Entebbe Parents Secondary School as they tussle out against Air Force Secondary School in the first semi-final show-down.

During the second semi-final, Boston High School, Mpala will face Kisubi Mapeera SS.

The semi-finals will also be played on the same day as the grand finale.

Three schools will represent Entebbe zone at the 2025 Wakiso regional level later next month.
