Express in turmoil as players boycott training amid payment crisis

Express FC players have gone months without pay, and their frustration has reached a boiling point, leading them to stage a silent strike.
The club is currently in crisis as players have refused to train, declaring that they have endured enough.
The Red Eagles have struggled with inconsistency throughout the season, securing eight wins, four draws, and suffering nine losses in 21 games.
This lack of stability has largely been attributed to the poor remuneration, which has created a challenging work environment.
Having gone several months without pay, the players have decided to suspend training until further notice.
Despite expressing their concerns to management, the players’ grievances have gone unaddressed, exacerbating the situation.
“I don’t have much to say about the issue, but I can confirm the players have not trained today,” a close source at the club told Kawowo Sports.
“We’ve tried to communicate our frustrations to the management, but they have completely ignored us. It’s not looking good, but we’ll see what happens in the coming days,” one of the players stated strongly.
Express FC will return to action on Saturday, April 5, when they visit Maroons FC at Prison Grounds, Luzira.
