Top 8 – Dr. Tee reflects on his best works in Uganda’s music industry

Dr. Tee, one of Uganda’s most influential music producers and songwriters, has played a big role in shaping the country’s music industry. From the early 2000s to the early 2010s, he produced and wrote some of Uganda’s greatest hits.

During an interview on Sanyuka TV, Dr. Tee was asked to name his best works. Without hesitation, he listed a series of songs.

1. Ekili Mu Ddungu – Betty Mpologoma & Martin Angume (1999)

Dr. Tee recalled that Ekili Mu Ddungu was one of the biggest songs at the time and among his first works.

2. Eagles Production Album (First Aid, Sigwe Onsimila, etc.)

He credited his work on an album for Eagles Production, which included hits like First Aid and Sigwe Onsimila. This album was crucial in establishing Eagles Production band’s career in Uganda’s music scene.

3. Dipo Nazigala & Buladina – Paul Kafeero

Dr. Tee worked with the legendary Paul Kafeero, producing timeless hits such as Dipo Nazigala and Buladina.

4. Katikitiki – Angela Kalule

Katikitiki by Angela Kalule became a fan favorite, and Dr. Tee took pride in his contribution to the song’s production.

5. Akamasu – Sophie Nantongo

Another song on his list, Akamasu by Sophie Nantongo, remains one of his cherished productions.

6. Omuzadde – Sylver Kyagulanyi

Dr. Tee also mentioned Omuzadde by Sylver Kyagulanyi, a song that touched the hearts of many Ugandans.

7. Olugambo – Da Twinz

The hit song Olugambo by Da Twinz was another standout moment in his production journey.

8. Ekirooto Kyange – Maureen Nantume

Among all his works, Ekirooto Kyange by Maureen Nantume holds a special place in his heart. He revealed that he worked on this song while he was in London.
